Dear Ms. Grossman

Thank you for your recent contribution in the name of A.J. McLean’s appearance on Hollywood Squares, to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation. Your donation is a wonderful show of support for the hundreds of thousands of children who benefit from our work and will help us continue to provide a quality education that includes music for our country’s at risk youth.

It is through such generous donations that we can make a difference in the lives of so many children who might otherwise be deprived of this proven catalyst to academic success. Scientific studies show that children who play music display improved scholastic achievement, scoring an average 100 points higher on their SAT’s. Involvement in music is also proven to enhance social skills, like team building and self-discipline. For so many children, it is music that provides the solid foundation and encouraging environment that children need during their formative years in school. In times like these, when budgets are facing cuts, it is the public school music class that is often eliminated; creating a handicap for the students who could most benefit from these advantages. Which is why your support now, is so greatly appreciated.

Since its inception in 1997, VHI Save the Music Foundation has restored the music programs in 750 public schools in 70 cities nationwide. You can be assured that your support helps develop well-rounded, responsible citizens who care about their communities and are prepared to lead positive lives.

Thank you for recognizing the important learning opportunity for children that music education provides and for your generous contribution to our work.

Sincerely,

Robert B. Morrison
